American Bulldog

Like America itself, the American Bulldog is a descendant of the English Bulldog. This breed is a hardy, working dog intended to serve many purposes on the farms of the new world including guarding and catching. The breed nearly died out during World War II but survived mostly in the southeast states because they're so good at hunting and defending against feral pigs. Nowadays they are known as friendly, loyal companions.
