American Hairless Terrier

The American Hairless Terrier is a naturally hairless breed. They are closely related to the Rat Terrier and resemble them in all ways except baldness. They are friendly and playful and easy to train. AHT puppies are actually born with a fuzzy coat. They shed this fuzz within six weeks of birth and are forever hairless afterward except their eyebrows and whiskers. Unlike other dogs, they will break out in a sweat if they are hot or afraid.
