The Cyprus cat goes by many names. Some know them as the Capricot Cat, others St. Helen or St. Nicolas cat. Still others call them Aphrodite cat. All agree that this bright-eyed short and sometimes shaggy feline is one of the oldest breeds on record. Hailing from the Mediterranean region, they have been catching rats and mice alongside humans since 7500 BC.
