German Shepherd

The German Shepherd is one of the most popular and recognizable breeds in the world. Also called the Alsatian, the breed was developed by a man named Max von Stephanitz as an apex sheep herding dog. The high intelligence, endurance, and trainability led to them taking on many other jobs including policework, warfare, search and rescue, and disability assistance.
