Japanese Terrier

The Japanese Terrier is an old breed created when English terrier dogs were bred with local Japanese small breeds. They are the first terrier-type dogs bred in Japan and persisted throughout the centuries until the 1900s when they found great popularity in cities where small active dogs were more useful than large watchdogs. The Japanese Terrier is an intelligent and attentive breed that is loyal to their owners but wary of strangers.
