Kaikadi
|
The Kaikadi is a rare breed with ancient origins. Native to India, the Kaikadi is named after a nomadic tribe that bred these small sighthounds to hunt hare and keep watch. Over the centuries, they have bred and interbred with street dogs and other sighthound breeds that it is hard to trace ancestry between them, although it is possible that all the long-traditioned sighthound breeds of India could share a common ancestor. Despite its small numbers, the Kaikadi is is friendly and loyal and they, along with their tribe are worth preserving.
