Bull Mastiff

The Bull Mastiff is a guard dog created in the 1700s by breeding the English Mastiff and the Old English Bulldog. This combination was to maximize strength and size but also balance the aggressive Bulldog with the more gentle Mastiff. Known as the Gamekeeper's Night Dog, they were reliable guards and are still used as guarding dogs to this day.
