Mustang

The wild Mustang is an icon of the American West, but the free-roaming horses of the modern-day plains are not actually wild. They're feral -- domesticated horses brought by Spanish colonizers let to run wild. Even so, the herds of free-roaming horses add to the mystique of old-fashioned Americana.
