Pekingese

This breed is named after the capitol city of imperial China where these little dogs were prized as companion dogs of Chinese royalty. They come in a long-haired and spaniel-type coat, although the long-haired is prized when Pekingese are shown at dog shows. This paid off for the breed for a Pekingese named Wasabi won the 2021 national dog show!
