Rottweilers are a German breed famed for their size and power. In Germany they call them the "butcher's dog" because they pulled carts full of meat to market. They were bred to help manage livestock, and while they still do that in some parts of the world, they are more likely to be employed as search and rescue dogs, guard dogs, and police dogs.
