Scottish Terrier

Also called the Aberdeen Terrier, the Scottie is one of the five Scottish breeds. The first Earl of Dumbarton nicknamed the breed "the diehard" because of their bravery. They were bred to hunt vermin on farms and in homes. They have a two-layer coat - a dense inner layer and a coarse wiry outer layer which give them their feathered look and handsome beard.
