The Wheaten Terrier is an Irish dog bred for farm work. They are very smart and trainable and make good family dogs. The breed comes in two distinct coat styles - the Irish coat which is smooth and the American coat which is shaggier. The puppies start with dark red or brown fur that turns pale as they reach adulthood!
