Treeing Tennessee Brindle
The Treeing Tennessee Brindle is a hunting dog from the Midwestern United States. It entered the AKC in 1995, but has a long history as a revered hunting dog before that. The effort to recognize it officially was spearheaded by Reverend Earl Phillips who wrote a column about hunting dogs in the 1960s. His research led him to a "tiger striped" cur known for hunting and treeing and he made it a project to preserve and promote the breed.
