West Highland Terrier

Westies are Scottish Terrier dogs with coarse white coats. Their hairlike outer layer of fur has made them popular as a more allergy-friendly breed. They are intelligent, good with kids, and very social. They were bred for rat hunting and have a high prey drive for small animals. Westies have been documented as far back as 1550 and are still a beloved breed in the UK and all over the world.
