Xoloitzcuintli
Xoloitzcuintli (pronounced Sho-luht-squeent-lay) is a Mexican breed often called the Meixcan Hairless Dog. The name comes from the Nahuatl language meaning "god dog." It is an ancient breed known for it's unusual looks, but most don't know there's actually a fully coated variety as well. In ancient times, Xolos were often sacrificed and buried with their owners to help guide their spirits into the afterlife.
